Network membership is by invitation. The network’s purpose is to promote Inspection Professional’s helping other Inspection Professionals. The goal is to elevate the inspection criteria, quality of inspectors, and to move away from a Real Estate referral process to a lender/educated consumer referral process. Most importantly, Network members agree to assist fellow members with questions or concerns another member may have. If a member calls another member for assistance (perhaps something unusual on an inspection they are seeing) in their area of expertise, that inspector will render assistance.
The USHIS Network website is available for the public to see, and allows another means of referral, professional networking and marketing.
Pre-Requisites for Membership are as follows:
1) You must have received a formal invitiation to join the USHIS Network.
2) You must provide proof of having completed at a minimum 80 hours of classroom education in Home Inspection.
3) You must complete the USHIS Home Inspector Certification Exam
4) You must read and agree to the USHIS Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
5) You must complete and submit a verification letter that you have at a minimum $250,000 of General Liability Insurance along with a copy of your Home Inspection Contract.
